Wix Re-Installation Guide β
If you previously installed the eContractor plugin manually (before the app-based method), follow these steps to remove the old widget and reinstall using the updated official method.
Remove the Old Widget β
- Edit the page where your eContractor store is currently embedded.
- Select & delete the old eContractor widget from the page.
Reinstall Using the Wix-EContractor App β
Open the following link in your browser: π Install the eContractor App
Click Install App.
Choose the correct Wix site.
Accept the Terms & Conditions.

π‘ The widget will be automatically added to the current page. If itβs added to the wrong page, you can move it later via:Add Elements β App Widgets β eContractor

Configure the Widget β
- Center the widget on the page.
- With the widget selected, click the Stretch icon (arrows pointing outward).
- Enable Stretch to full width in the stretch settings.
WARNING
β οΈ If your store is appearing broken on the page you may need your configurations re-set on our end. Please reach out to support for assistance.
Final Step: Deploy Your Changes β
Once everything is in place, the store will populate with items.
Click Publish to make your page live.

π‘ Why Did We Switch to the New App-Based Method? β
The original Wix installation method embedded the eContractor store using an iframe. While functional, this approach came with several limitations due to the plugin being isolated from the rest of the site.
Specifically, the old method prevented access to your siteβs full URL
, which caused issues such as:
- Inability to share direct links to specific products.
- QR codes that failed to work properly or led to generic pages.
- Limited compatibility with marketing tools like Promote Filter emails, Order Confirmations, and more.
The new app-based method fully embeds the store into your Wix site β no iframe. This allows the plugin to behave like a native part of your website, improving both functionality and user experience for your customers.
